One evening the girls and I were out on the driveway. Dave had been gone to Woodbadge all weekend long and we were expecting him home sometime that night. Sophie decided to get her scooter out. She had barely gotten on it before she fell off. I knew by her reaction to the fall, that this one really hurt, and when she didn't exactly "recover" quickly like she normally does, I suspected a break. Urgent Care confirmed it was broken. A distal humerus fracture. Can you find the the break in the x-ray? Hint: She broke it right above her left elbow. I could hardly see it at all on the x-ray.Sophie's been a champ. She picked out a pretty pink cast that she didn't want anybody to write their name on and got it off this week--4 weeks later! I'm very glad to finally get rid of it, because it was really starting to stink! :)
